But I’ve been told by my marketing guru that I am a bit rubbish at doing this for myself, and he told me to write some content about me and why you should trust me to help you become a Conservative MP. So, here it goes.

Since #GE2005, I have helped over 175 people become MPs. That’s right, 175. One of my clients said that my clients would constitute a bigger parliamentary party than the Lib Dems since 2010. Since #GE2010, over one-third of Conservative MPs have been my clients. And the best part? Most of my candidates achieve higher swings than the national average. In fact, if all candidates had had similar above-average swings in 2010 as my clients did… we might not have had a coalition government… what a startling thought.
I’ve coached parliamentary backbenchers as well as Cabinet Ministers, council Leaders and Police and Crime Commissioners…, and I can help you with all aspects of candidate selection.

PAB, Getting Selected, Getting Elected
My interactive coaching courses are now only delivered 1-2-1 and are tailored to you, your experience, and your needs. NO group courses. NO off-the-shelf standard guff that could be delivered via video or webinar. You get homework. Lots of it. (Your kids will find this funny!) This is an intense, reflective course – as it should be. It’s a hugely important job. You will either decide at the end that you don’t want to do it after all – or you will be significantly better equipped at getting through the process and performing the function.
I can help you identify your USP – identifying and articulating why you want to become an MP – communicating your qualifications and potential as a candidate and MP. I can help you understand and pass the Parliamentary Assessment Board (P.A.B.). I can even help you review your CV and write a bespoke CV that is sent to individual associations.
But that’s not all. I can help you with speechwriting – formulating an effective introduction, structure, and ending to a speech. We’ll even prepare a 1-minute + 5-minute elevator speech. I’ll give you an overview of a best-practice Battle Plan to win the seat – ensuring associations understand that you do not have “L plates” and can actually hit the road running.
What about public speaking coaching?
We’ll do whatever needs to be done, and that may include work on voice and image projection. We’ll identify and practice questions and answers to bulletproof you for all those tricky questions that are now more important than ever – especially with external, non-tame moderators and journalists sometimes playing a role in Open Primaries. Video playback also plays a role here, as well as a review of your clothing, image, voice projections, etc.
Which parliamentary seat is right for you?
I can also help you with strategy and constituency selection and deciding which seats to target. Will you only apply for a specific seat, or will you be a SelectionSlut and go for every seat? What are the pros and cons of these two extreme approaches?
Will coaching guarantee I become an MP?
No. That’s an easy answer. Becoming an MP isn’t easy, and it shouldn’t be. With my help, you aren’t guaranteed to become an MP. But I can guarantee that you will dramatically increase your chances of becoming an MP. You will be able to understand and tell your story better and more confidently, and you will be much better equipped to navigate the multiple hurdles that face you – the PAB, the paper sift, the selection interviews, the speeches and the Q&A sessions.
