Getting Selected – how NOT to do it

Getting Selected - How to scare the selectorate and NOT get selected

Getting Selected can be tough - but unforced errors are inexcusable. This candidate is a great example of a great many of them. To be honest I am speechless. This guy is so bad - at first I thought this video was a spoof. He is so very bad. I hope that all Conservative Parliamentary Candidates, at least those who seriously want to get selected, will watch this video of a politician trying to get selected. Watching this video and chuckling smugly is not enough - you need to be very very different. Whether it is at you PAB selection or a selection meeting in front of a constituency association or at an Open Primary. Passion in a speech or presentation is good. Even mandatory. Most people don't have, or at least, don't show enough passion. But in the words of my 90 year old, blind aunt, this man needs to get out more. He also needs to measure his delivery, mirror the pace of his audience (aka mirroring), learn the speech and be Paper Free. He is also quite a good argument against current US gun laws - and without doubt the neighbour that you would least like to have.
