Sticky Stories - Stories that Stick Win Elections
Politics is storytelling. Bad stories lose elections. Great stories win trust, shift perception, and move votes. The lines in the following speeches are all extremely sticky.
Mandela (long road to freedom), JFK (we choose to go to the moon), MLK (I have a dream), Trump (MAGA), Churchill (we will fight them on the beaches): all great storytellers. All are sticky lines that tell very sticky stories.
Being able to tell your story effectively is key to winning votes and the power to change policy and laws.
If you can't persuade people to trust you with their vote and their future, you're just another person complaining about politicians.

Public service is a privilege. It's a demanding job (as it should be) - people need politicians in politics for the right reasons.

I've been a storytelling coach for over 30 years - working with politicians, campaigns, business leaders, startups and non-profits. I help leaders to stop underselling themselves by helping them identify, articulate and tell their story better.
Alongside working as a SXSW speaker coach, I have been fortunate enough to coach over 300 speakers at TEDMED where I have been a TEDMED Speaker Coach since 2014. Many of those incredibly interesting speakers of have now been featured on TED.com too with millions of views.
