– It has to be both, and that’s part of what I do. I do content, identifying the story. I’m a storytelling coach so I identify the story. I distill the story and take out all the stuff, the extraneous bits that actually don’t help at all. Although the speaker might think that they’re really cool. But sometimes they just need to be ditched and just skin it down to the basics. But then we need to deliver it because it’s easier than ever in today’s technology world to stand up. But it’s more hard than ever before to stand out. And people have to stand up and stand out. And if you don’t grab people’s attention within the first second and a half and keep it, you’ve lost it. Doesn’t matter how good and worthy and fine your words are. If your delivery isn’t there they haven’t heard you ’cause they’ve clicked off.
